Overview
Ingredients
0.5 cup | onion, diced |
2 ea | garlic cloves, minced |
0.5 cup | water |
1 cup | tomatoes, diced (fresh or canned; if canned, drain juice) |
1 Tbsp | yellow mustard |
2 Tbsp | worcestershire sauce |
0.25 tsp | salt (optional) |
0.5 tsp | pepper, ground black |
6 ea | whole-wheat hamburger buns |
8 oz | tomato sauce |
1 lb | lean ground beef |
Instructions
1. In a large skillet, cook ground beef over medium-high heat for approximately 5 minutes. Drain fat.2. Add onions and cook 3 minutes or until onions begin to turn clear. Add garlic and cook 1 more minute.
3. Add remaining ingredients except buns and simmer for 10 minutes.
4. Serve on whole-wheat buns.
