Sloppy Joes

Overview

Ingredients

0.5 cup onion, diced
2 ea garlic cloves, minced
0.5 cup
water
1 cup tomatoes, diced (fresh or canned; if canned, drain juice)
1 Tbsp yellow mustard
2 Tbsp worcestershire sauce
0.25 tsp salt (optional)
0.5 tsp pepper, ground black
6 ea whole-wheat hamburger buns
8 oz tomato sauce
1 lb lean ground beef

Instructions

1. In a large skillet, cook ground beef over medium-high heat for approximately 5 minutes. Drain fat.

2. Add onions and cook 3 minutes or until onions begin to turn clear. Add garlic and cook 1 more minute.

3. Add remaining ingredients except buns and simmer for 10 minutes.

4. Serve on whole-wheat buns.
